To be authorized for independent practice, you must provide the HRPA with proof of insurance (a copy of your insurance certificate). You can attach your certificate below or email it registrar@hrpa.ca within 30 days.
By submitting your application, you agree to inform the HRPA of any change to, cancellation of, or non-renewal of your professional liability insurance policy. You understand and agree that (i) the HRPA's by-laws require that independent practitioners maintain appropriate professional liability insurance coverage and that to practise HR independently without such insurance, or to provide false or misleading information related to your professional liability insurance coverage, is a breach of the HRPA's by-laws; (ii) you must not insert any clause in a contract of professional services that excludes, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, your personal civil liability; (iii) you must advise the HRPA immediately of any change in your coverage; and (iv) your insurance contract must be endorsed with the requirement that the insurer notify the Registrar of any cancellation in or reduction of your coverage.
