We hear a lot about the importance of coaching, but don’t always understand the benefits of increased individual performance, accountability, and self-sufficiency, leaving others with more time to do their work. Coaching can be provided by anyone, at any level, if they know the right questions to ask, and it is a critical skill for today’s leaders.
This session is designed to give first-hand experience of the difference that coaching makes, as well as a review of the business case for coaching. Leaders and HR are challenged to think about how to embrace a coaching mindset and they are provided with tools to coach, including leveraging powerful questions to connect and mitigate assumptions.
Learning objectives include:
- Understanding the impact of coaching on engagement and performance
- Exploring coaching pitfalls, biases, and effective coaching techniques
- Reviewing the GROW model to apply structure to coaching conversations.
- Applying coaching skills to organization-relevant case studies
