Participants in this highly interactive workshop will gain an appreciation of the importance of resiliency and its significance in the context of Human Resources. From a strategic HR standpoint, participants will recognize a resilient HR professional's value on organizational health and employee well-being. Leaders at all levels rely on HR Professionals for support and guidance during times of crisis and uncertainty. Participants will gain an understanding of proven practices for effectively managing a crisis situation. The session concludes with a module introducing proven practices for HR Professionals to gain credibility with stakeholders by fostering a culture of resilience throughout the organization.


Throughout the workshop, a focus will be placed on discussing practical takeaways that aid in generating alignment from a strategy and cultural perspective.


Learning Objectives:

  1. Develop an appreciation of resiliency as a critical leadership competency.
  2. Develop a plan to cope effectively and practice resiliency while providing leadership and support to colleagues during a crisis.
  3. Address proven strategies to build credibility and develop professional rapport with stakeholders.
  4. Develop an appreciation of fostering alignment and accountability.

Anthony Folan, President

In the capacity of Managing Director, Integral HR Solutions Inc. Anthony Folan provides strategic Human Resources support to a wide variety of organizations throughout North America. Anthony’s areas of expertise include Workplace Investigations, Leadership Coaching & Development, Legislative Compliance (ESA/OH&S), Employee & Labour Relations. Prior to founding Integral HR Solutions Inc. (2006), Anthony spent 20 years working in Corporate Canada holding senior roles with Russel Metals Inc. and Kmart Canada Ltd. After graduating with a 3 year Diploma in Business Administration at Lambton College, Anthony went on to pursue a Degree in Administrative Studies majoring in Human Resources Management at York University. Anthony has participated in numerous continuing education initiatives obtaining a Certificate in Labour Relations from Queens University. In 2012 Anthony accepted an Honorary Degree in Applied Studies from Humber College. The degree was recognition for his ongoing commitment to the HR profession along with his contribution to developing the HR degree program at Humber College. Anthony is based in SW Ontario, he supports clients locally, across North America and on an international basis.
