HRPA Benefits and Overview -- why participate within your association?

We are excited to have our new members join us for this evening of networking and learning more about what you can get out of your HRPA membership. Your board will speak to you about the different committees within our chapter, volunteer opportunities, HRPA members ship benefits and other information you may not know about! You will also be given the opportunity to ask questions of your board and experienced HR professionals about how to get the most out of your membership and HR Career Development.

Hazel-Ann Langlois, CHRP, CHRL, Sr. HR Generalist - L&D Leader

Hazel has been a member of the HRPA since 2014. She is a Sr. HR Generalist and Learning and Development Specialist with 11 years of experience in Human Resources. She has spent time in various functions of HRM including strategic recruitment, training and development, labour and employee relations, and project management. She currently works for a Global HVAC & Energy Company. Since 2017, her time spent at the Durham Chapter has been with the Professional Development committee and she has been a part of bringing engaging speakers and relevant content to our chapter. This year, she is excited to have been name the Chair Elect of the Durham Chapter. Hazel will be joined by the outgoing Chair, Gladys Saenz and the other Durham Board members fort his event.


Gladys Saenz, Director, Human Resources

Gladys Saenz, our current and outgoing Chair of the Durham Region Chapter will be joining us to share her knowledge about the Chapter, the Association and the HR function. Gladys is a strategic results-oriented Human Resources leader with solid experience and background in diverse industries who has served in senior roles in both the private and public sectors including in unionized environments. She is motivated and resourceful but also a catalyst for positive change creating progressive work environments to inspire superior performance from all team members. A strong collaborator with superior analytical skills, Gladys possesses a unique style to solve difficult and complex challenges in a diverse group. She has a passion for learning, which combined, with her extensive knowledge of all the HR functional areas, Payroll and Health and Safety, have been instrumental in her career progression. She has competently developed comprehensive HR strategies and executable operational plans to meet organizational objectives. Gladys has been a member of the Durham Chapter Board of Directors since 2017. She is eager to continue serving the Board and the chapter members.
