To lead is to be daring. To inspire is to be grounded and confident – in yourself, in your vision and in the people who are walking with you. The stakes are high and there are many times that leaders find themselves in the spotlight or at major crossroads, at the tipping point of a thrilling change or bold step that may evoke uncertainty.
This half day workshop is focused on exploring the vulnerability that lives in leadership and how to find the inner resolve to be courageous, to engage with others, and to develop skills for moving forward when facing uncertainty or fear.
Janet Frood is a Certified Dare To Lead Facilitator, trained in the courage building curriculum based on Dr. Brown’s research. She has identified 4 elements of that are qualities of daring leaders – rumbling with vulnerability, leaning into values, BRAVING trust, and the ability to rise strong. The workshop will include samplings of videos featuring Brené Brown. It will be highly interactive allowing participants to discuss the concepts – how they apply individually and at an organizational level.
• Understand how rumbling with vulnerability and shame is an integral part of being a daring leadership
• Introduce courage building skills and practices that support daring leadership
• Explore techniques for how leaders can help create a more courageous organizational culture
• Create an environment for an open and honest dialogue about how vulnerability lives in leadership
