This event is a joint partnership with the North Bay/London/Thousand Islands/Grey Bruce Chapters.

The Indigenous Advantage will help HR professionals understand the complex history of exclusion and how to create a new path of Inclusion. We will explore how HR professionals can build the knowledge know-how and strategies to climb the Inclusion Continuum: The 7 stage roadmap to becoming an employer of choice. We will examine the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and how members should embrace the TRC Calls to Action.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • A deeper understanding of the 4 pillars of exclusion and inclusion;
  • An understanding of the systems and competency based approach to the Inclusion Continuum;
  • An understanding of the TRC and how the HR professional can mobilize the TRC Calls to Action
