Recruiting rules have changed a lot in Ontario over the last X years. Legislative changes have changed the legal landscape for employers including changes affecting job posting requirements, the use of recruiters and temporary help agencies, post-employment restrictions, and the enforceability of employment agreements. Recent cases in Ontario courts have also added new considerations for employers. These changes directly impact the day-to-day practices of human resources, talent and recruiting departments. This presentation will examine the recent changes that HR professionals need to be aware of, and cover best practices in light of the new state of the law.
