Speaker bio(s)
Jamie Bruno

Jamie joined Ontario Tech University in 2017 and is currently Vice President, People and Transformation. Jamie is responsible for the full suite of labour relations and human resources functions, including transformative initiatives such as future-of-work modeling, improved digitization and access to information to enhance employee engagement, and optimizing features of the employee life cycle. Jamie has spent nearly 20 years in both human resources and labour relations across the broader public sector, serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at North York General Hospital, where he launched the hospital’s first People Strategy, and leading strategic HR business operations at both Treasury Board Secretariat and the Ministry of Government Services in the Ontario Public Service. Jamie completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and earned both his MBA and MIR degrees from Queen’s University.
