Patrick Hill, Benefits & Health Consultant, Accompass

Patrick is a Benefits & Health Consultant at Accompass. He provides critical advice and support for a wide range of plan design, financial management, and administrative services; such as communications support, employee meetings, disability management and wellness plans for all sized organizations. Patrick has been working in the benefits industry for over 12 years on both the insurance carrier and the consulting side of business. Before joining Accompass, he was a Senior Group Underwriter at one of Canada’s major insurance providers.


Peter Demangos , Managing Director

Peter is the Co-Founder of Collage HR and Founder of PDF Financial Group, organizations that are actively reinventing the way Canadian businesses manage HR & Benefits.

Seen as a leader in the Employee Benefits industry, Peter is frequently quoted in Benefits Canada publications as well as a regular speaker for HR.com and the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).
Holding an MBA (from the Schulich School of Business), CFP and CLU designations, and a Bachelor of Commerce (from the Rotman School of Management), Peter is a strong believer in continued education.

He continues to share his experiences by also teaching the Pension & Benefits course at Humber College within the Human Resources Management Post-Graduate program.


Serafina Morgia, Senior Consultant, Willis Towers Watson

Serafina is a Senior Consultant in the Toronto office at Willis Towers Watson and brings over 20 years of combined insurance company, corporate and heath and benefits consulting experience to the company.


As a health and benefits practitioner, she specializes in the management and strategic development of employee benefits programs, with particular emphasis on health promotion, wellness, drug plan management and absence/disability management.



Michael Moriarity

Michael is a pension and benefits communication consultant who specializes in the application of marketing techniques to communicate the complexities of pension and benefits plans. He works with both private and public sector clients to translate the language of benefits into messages that resonate with, educate and engage plan members.


As a career communicator with over 25 years’ experience in marketing and communications, Michael has served in both corporate and consulting environments. Most recently Michael worked with Eckler Ltd. as a senior communications consultant. Prior to Eckler he was the president of MME & Associates, a group insurance consulting firm that provided marketing and communications solutions for a range of association and corporate clients.


Michael is also a former publisher of Benefits Canada and Employee Health + Productivity magazine, an award-winning journal that explored the links between employee productivity and workplace wellness. In his free time, Michael teaches pension and benefits communication at Humber College’s Centre for Employee Benefits PPAC and CEB certificate programs.



Stephanie Lue-Kim, Organizational Health Consultant

Stephanie has over 20 years of experience in the group benefits industry, 9 of which are in her current role as an Organizational Health Consultant. Stephanie works closely with large Great-West Life customers and their advisors to develop and implement health, wellness and disability management. Stephanie is a graduate of McMaster University and holds a number certifications in the health, wellness and fitness industry. She has attained industry designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans, Group Benefits Associate.



Andrea Staruch, Pharmacy Services Consultant with GSC

Andrea is a Pharmacy Services Consultant with GSC as well as an actively practicing community pharmacist. Her roles at GSC include the assessment of drug authorization requests, maintaining drug formularies, and operationalizing new drug initiatives, processes, and legislative changes. Andrea received her PharmD at the University of Waterloo, and is also a Certified Geriatric Practitioner.
