Employers have a unique opportunity to protect their employees from vaccine-preventable diseases like COVID-19, influenza, shingles, pneumococcal, HPV, and RSV through workplace immunization programming. Immunization remains one of the most cost effective preventative health strategies for employers, protecting employees while offering significant ROI for employers through reduced sick time and disability claim costs. However, many employers lack the knowledge of how to implement vaccination promotion strategies in the workplace, and how to collaborate with benefits providers to ensure comprehensive coverage.
