Though sometimes hard to define, culture has been consistently cited as the most powerful influence in determining an organization's long-term economic results.
Positive culture is much more than 'Kumbaya' around the campfire, wearing the same t-shirt, and passionately chanting company slogans! It's the glue that holds an organization together, it breeds grit and resilience, and it keeps people pulling in a common direction. Whether paid attention to or not, culture develops. As it can be extremely challenging to transform, it is infinitely preferable to be intentional about creating, developing and nurturing a positive, strategically relevant culture.
Culture is determined by the behaviour of those inside the organization: What is tolerated becomes normal, and what is normal is copied. Therefore, it stands to reason that an intentional focus on developing culturally appropriate behaviours is the key to creating cohesive, high-performing cultures.
This workshop highlights the importance and value of intentional culture development as a means to creating consistently high-performing organizations. We dive into the three pillars that form the framework for culture development, and clearly and concisely explore the principles and practices of positive leadership as a means to creating and sustaining culturally appropriate behaviour throughout an organization.
