Grand Valley: 06.25.2020 - The Inclusive HR Leader - The Power of Inclusion - SOLD OUT
Learn, grow and contribute to a culture of inclusion through your everyday actions.
As HR professionals we ask leaders to create equitable work environments, to have diversity of thought and perspective, and to establish an inclusive mindset everyday. We are often so focused on supporting others that we sometimes miss opportunities to recognize, adapt and develop our own inclusive practices.
This session provides you with the opportunity to step back and re-examine your own inclusive practices. We will explore the power of inclusion and how our actions and behaviours have the ability to either create an environment of belonging, or unintentional exclusion, which can impact an employee's ability to feel connected, engaged and successful.
This interactive session will explore:
- Understanding Dimensions of Diversity and Intersectionality.
- Recognizing your own Implicit Biases.
- Awareness of Inclusive Language.
- Traits of Inclusive Leadership.
- The value and importance of inclusive practices and the power it has in creating a culture of inclusion.
