Following the Annual Business Meeting, Jamelle Lindo, our keynote speaker, will present on the topic of "Leading with Emotional Intelligence and Resilience in Times of Uncertainty". Following are further details about the keynote speaker's presentation:

Leading with Emotional Intelligence and Resilience in Times of Uncertainty

As leaders and professionals, we have suddenly found ourselves in the midst of a completely unprecedented pandemic. This is a challenging and emotional time for all of us, yet we must continue to meet the needs of our businesses, our employees and our clients as best we can. This interactive webinar session explains how we can to tap into the power of emotional intelligence and resilience to show up as our best selves in these times. All participants will walk away with an ability to define emotional intelligence as well as apply 2-strategies for reducing stress, enhancing well-being and building resilience.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Define emotional intelligence and resilience
  • Describe the connection between emotional intelligence, resilience, and leadership
  • Apply 2-3 strategies for enhancing emotional intelligence and resilience

HR leaders who attend this session will become familiar with how emotional intelligence skills inform workplace culture through leadership interactions. They will learn about case studies that demonstrate the organizational challenges presented by a lack of emotional intelligence and resilience and a leadership level such as high turnover, and low employee engagement. They will also learn about key mindset qualities that predict
resilience according to the latest research, and how they can leverage these mindsets from an organizational development perspective.
