Speaker bio(s)
Craig Kennedy

Craig Kennedy brings with him over 35 years of experience in Senior Financial and Operational positions in the steel, construction, mining, land development, service and information technology industries. Craig currently holds the position of Vice President, Finance with The James Dick Group of Companies. Craig has an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.


Liesel Raftopoulos

Liesel is the Director of Human Resources at Apple Express and has a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Human Resources, from University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa. Liesel works closely with senior leaders as a trusted advisor and HR Business Partner. She is a subject matter expert in employee relations, organizational design, HR operations and talent management which includes identifying high performers and critical roles within teams to ensure succession pipeline. She is curious in seeking out ways to build credible relationships with individuals and teams and uses these relationships to ignite potential and help organisations see what could be.


Joseph Ruffo

Joe is the CEO of Trillium Healthcare Products, a mid-market pharmaceutical manufacturer. Joe is a CPA CA and has held C-suite roles for the past 25 years. An alumnus of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Joe has spent the majority of his career running private equity backed companies – primarily turn-around situations.


Scott Smith

After spending 20+ years in Human Resources working for best-in-class companies such as Aecon Group, Mercer Human Resource Consulting and Rolls-Royce Ferranti-Packard, Scott launched his own HR consulting practice focused on helping business leaders build profitable and sustainable enterprises through the development and implementation of effective people strategies. It was during this time that one of his clients asked him to take over as VP Operations and run their manufacturing operation and custom tooling business producing tape and adhesive solutions for some of the biggest auto parts suppliers such as Magna, Martinrea and ABC Technologies. After doing this for 5 years he recently returned to the world of HR consulting.
