We need to have honest conversation about what it takes to bring our best, most authentic selves to work, and how to effectively encourage our colleagues to do the same. We need to understand the human side of cultivating an organizational culture where people feel inspired and supported. These conversations may sound risky and vulnerable, but risk and vulnerability are essential to courageous leadership. Real change and innovation are within our reach if we're willing to talk about the emotions, thoughts and behaviours that get in the way." Dr. Brené Brown Author Daring Greatly To lead is to be daring. To inspire is to be grounded and certain - in yourself, in your vision and of the people who are walking with you. The stakes are high and there are many times that leaders find themselves in the spotlight or at major crossroads; at the tipping point of a thrilling change or bold step that is equally terrifying. This workshop is focused on exploring the vulnerability that lives in leadership and how to find the inner resolve to be courageous, to connect with others and move forward when facing uncertainty or fear. Janet Frood is one of a few Canadians certified as an authorized facilitator of Brené Brown's program called The Daring Way™. This session will include a sampling of Brené Brown videos and exercises from the program.
