This topic will provide an overview of the law in using demographic information about employees and candidates to improve diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Furthermore, the second part of the presentation will speak to recent legislative updates and important developments in the case law in Canada.
Learning Objectives:
- To gain an understanding of the legal parameters of collecting demographic information from employees and candidates.
- To improve understanding of legislative requirements and recent updates to case law relevant to HR professionals.
- To provide appropriate guardrails to assist organizations who are looking to expand upon their diversity and inclusion efforts in the workplace.
