What IS workplace validation? What does it mean you get it and what does it mean when you don’t?

Employees: is workplace validation a simple pat on the back? A Starbucks gift card? A simple a note from your boss saying “Well done.”? What method do YOU prefer to feel validated?

Leaders: how do you validate your employees? If and when you do recognize your employees efforts, have they responded rather indifferently towards your efforts? If so, where is the disconnect happening?

In this journey, we will explore the basics and fundamentals of recognition, performance validation, and employee appreciation. All of which boil down to one fundamental thing…respect. We will discuss the rules of respect, what it means to respect a diverse workforce, where to find validation, and what the difference is between expectations and actuality. We will then journey into the different languages of appreciation and workplace validation.
