Understanding the foundation of all-important conversations, particularly those that happen at a crucial point in an interpersonal relationship, is a great start. Conscious Conversations is a continuation of the material from Foundational Conversations, and looks at having difficult interpersonal conversations while taking into account both what is happening in the moment, and the “entrance conditions” to make it safe for both parties to find shared meaning, building mutual purpose and respect. Introspective and interactive, participants come away with concrete tools and worksheets they can use every day, building their own consciousness resulting in deeper communication and interpersonal skills.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Working with emotionally reactive people (without judgement) through dialogue and conversations to get to a place of mutual understanding, fostering healthy conflict and interpersonal relationships at work.
  • Overcoming barriers to building mutual understanding with someone who is difficult to communicate with and who may not want to converse.
  • Creating psychological safety in conversations, staying consistent in your intent to create/hold that safety (for yourself and this other person) to allow for mutual understanding to continue going forward.
