Peterborough: March 24, 2021 A New Look at Workplace Violence Legislation and It's Impact

Whether it is the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Bill 168, Bill 132 or C-65, workplace violence legislation is here to stay. However, workplace violence is often times a symptom. However, the impact of this legislation on workplaces can actually be beneficial to help. By understanding the causes and putting systems in place to identify and prevent the risks of workplace violence, you are not only being compliant with the law but have the opportunity to have a positive impact on talent attraction and retention and building a competitive culture. We will review the current legislation, what has changed after COVID and how it impacts you.

Participants will learn:

  • The 12 organizational factors that can lead to workplace violence.
  • How to use aspects of the legislation to build leadership capacity.
  • How to apply data to not only identify factors that can lead to workplace violence but also identify bad managers/high risk employees.
