Developing HR's Role As Influential Coach to Deal with Change in the Workplace

 Change in the workplace is a reality. A new joint study by the Human Capital Institute and International Coach Federation found 77% of HR practitioners and leaders reported that their organizations were in a state of constant change. The forces at play are many, including changing social norms, demographics, technology, legislation, restructuring and global competition.

Are you frustrated with the volume and pace of change you are attempting to cope with in your organization? Are you looking for ways to influence a more positive approach to managing change in your organization?

This conference is designed to help you answer these questions and have more influence helping manage change in your organization. Our keynote speaker for the evening, Lisa Mitchell from Green Apple consulting will be put the issue of change into context and focus on HR's role as coach to help manage the process.

Lisa Is a professional coach and consultant who gained extensive experience in progressively senior HR and organizational development roles in large Canadian global companies. This provided her exposure to a wide range of industries including call centres, outsourcing, finance, retail, housing, hospitality and healthcare.

Following our keynote speaker, a lively panel discussion that will build upon the presentation. It will give you the chance to listen, question and learn from the real-life experience of seasoned professionals who have had to deal with change in the workplace. The panel has been selected to provide you a variety of perspectives including that of former CFO and CEO, practising HR Manager, Sr HR Practitioner, Leadership strategist and arbitration specialist.

Lisa Mitchell

Lisa Mitchell is the Principal of Green Apple Consulting.

As a Certified Leadership Coach, Lisa helps smart, driven leaders navigate with grace through life and work transitions, to get the results they want and deserve.
As a Leadership Development Consultant and Facilitator, Lisa creates impactful leadership development experiences for leaders and organizations.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys life at home with her amazing son, husband and senior citizen dad, and spends most of her spare time reading, writing and traveling!

Work Background

In her last corporate role, Lisa was VP, Talent Management of a large Canadian organization with over 13,000 employees. Her experience in learning, organizational development and HR spans various industries including call centres, outsourcing, finance, retail and senior’s housing (a blend of healthcare and hospitality).
Lisa holds the professional ACC Coaching designation with the International Coach Federation. She also holds B.A and B.Ed degrees, the PROSCI ADKAR Change Management certification and is a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP).

Dr. Barbara Benoliel is the academic program coordinator in Walden University’s Barbara Solomon School of Social Work and Human Services. She brings extensive knowledge in the environmental social psychological, medical, and economic factors that influence behavior, and the skills and ability to thoroughly investigate individual situations. Dr. Benoliel is also a professional mediator and president of Preferred Solutions Conflict Resolution, where she specializes in conflict management systems and alternative dispute resolution for organizations.

Dennis is an experienced C-suite executive, who has led and implemented short term and strategic plans for companies ranging from startups to $50 million high growth organizations. Most recently, Dennis was CEO of TransGaming Inc., now FinDev Inc. (TSX-V: FDI), a leading digital media company in the cloud-based game market which he helped start and take public. He is also a CEO member of AceTech Ontario and currently serves as the CEO of The Southwestern Ontario Angel Group.
