Participants will walk away with a new awareness of what issues can be sensitive, why diversity can be uncomfortable for some people, where those feelings came from, and how to challenge their own assumptions. Small actionable steps to become more sensitive and inclusive in the workplace will be discussed.

Karen Minty

Karen Minty is a corporate trainer who specializes in communication and human behaviour. She has a Master's degree in Adult Education and is certified in the DISC Model of Human Behaviour and TRIMA Model of Competency. Her unique education and work experience have allowed her to share her expertise as a Professor at both Brock University and Lambton College. Karen is also a freelance writer, editor and TV talk show host. Karen believes in the power of self-awareness and effective communication as the starting point to transform individual and team success.
