During this event we will cover an over-view of our year in the Hamilton Chapter at our Annual Business Meeting (ABM), followed by recognition of our newly designated members and our volunteers.
After the ABM, we will have our special presentation Don't Sweep it Under the Rug: How to Properly Respond to a Harassment or Bullying Complaint with Zaheer Lakhani.
Many employers find themselves overwhelmed when workplace bullying and harassment complaints arise. This session will outline the appropriate concrete and practical steps that HR professionals should be taking when dealing with such complaints.
Learning objectives:
- practical steps to take when an employee lodges a complaint
- the importance of taking these steps and the possible ramifications, including legal liability, for botching the
- complaint process
- Review of Case Law
