Hilary Smith

Hilary Smith is a Human Resources Consultant with the City of Kenora and holds both the CHRP and CHRL Designations. She is very passionate about continuous education and is a lifelong learner. Since completing her degree and designations, she has actively pursued continuous education opportunities to learn more about topics of interest. In particular, she is currently enrolled in the Reconciliation Studies Certificate program at the First Nations University to learn about her Metis heritage and how she can help move the needle on reconciliation


Jenna  Cannon, CHRP, CHRL, HR Advisor

Previous HR Employment has been in industrial settings ( 5 years with Equipment World Inc as HR Coordinator and Bombardier as HR assistant. I have my CHRL in addition to my JHSC certification. I am hoping to get my Workplace Investigations Certification in the near future. I am 31 y.o. Cancer Survivor, was diagnosed in the first year of my HR career pursuit but have since completed treatment, gotten my designations, pursued a new position and am getting married at the end of 2023. Additionally, I am a board member of the Lakehead Social Planning Council and an advocate for mental health awareness in the workplace.


Matthew Lento, CHRP, Human Resources Advisor

Matthew Lento. I am an Human Resources Advisor with the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority. After graduating from the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program with a major in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations from Lakehead University, I wrote the CKE2 and CHRL Law Exam. I passed both, and was able to obtain my CHRP designation. I am now in the process of obtaining the necessary hours in order to be able to use the CHRL designation. In my spare time, I love to golf and be with friends and family.


Inderjit  Singh , Volunteer and Student Engagement Specialist

Inderjit Singh, I am the Volunteer and Student Engagement Specialist at HRPA. My educational background is completing my undergrad from Ryerson University, where I pursed a double major in Law and HR. After graduation, I worked in customer service and then reception/administrative assistant in a clinic. I joined HRPA in May 2022, in the Office of the Registrar department as the Administrative Coordinator and now am in the Corporate Affairs team as a Specialist. In a small spam of time, I have got the opportunity to further my career and background within the company. Now I get to travel around Ontario to the different colleges/universities and spreading the word about HRPA, setting up student events and help manage the student and volunteering portfolio at HRPA. I am also currently a part time paralegal student George Brown in my final year. Furthermore, this year I am working to get my CHRP/CHRL designation. Apart from my busy with wok and studying, I love to do Art and dance.
