Doesn’t everyone in the workplace deserve a lift towards greater productivity, engagement, and emotional wellbeing? Helen Patterson thinks so. In this talk, she urges employers to elevate beyond a one-off mentor program to a true mentor culture where everyone in the organization feels uplifted and supported to move forward regardless of their role.

Drawing on her years of expertise as an HR professional, lawyer and consultant, Helen takes audiences through the benefits of a mentoring program, from the “human first” engagement that it offers an employee to the productivity and ROI it ultimately generates for a company. She clarifies and draws out the differences between the spectrum of offerings from mentorship to coaching to sponsorship and outlines the benefits of each to different stages and roles. She also challenges organizations to step up to create a mentor culture and describes what that culture might look like when successfully implemented.

Attendees will learn the benefits of taking mentorship organization-wide, and gain inspiration for practical ways to go big on this principle within their organization, from getting started to gaining buy-in to ultimate organizational embrace.
