Speaker bio(s)
Sherry MacIntyre, CHRP, HR Generalist

My career journey has been anything but straightforward, with experiences in various industries and countries shaping my skills and perspectives. Initially interested in tourism, I transitioned through the medical industry, small businesses, manufacturing and finally HR, gaining diverse experiences and skills along the way. I grew up in Western Canada and have lived in Mexico and Florida for 13 years and through various jobs and environments, I've learned that all experiences, even the challenging ones, contribute to personal growth and understanding of the world. HR and non-profit work have been central aspects of my roles, focusing on supporting individuals in their career development and serving communities from a global perspective. Encouraging individuals to live in the present, actively listening to gain new perspectives, striving to understand diverse interests, and treating each other with kindness are what I have been focusing on lately to drive HR initiatives.
