During this event we will cover an over-view of our year in the Halton Chapter at our Annual Business Meeting (ABM), followed by recognition of our newly designated members and our volunteers.
After the ABM, we will have our special presentation Networking Essentials for HR Professionals with Michele Bush.
The idea of networking can be intimidating especially for those who consider themselves introverted or think networking is only necessary if you are in Sales. This session will have you thinking differently. By exploring the importance of this essential competency for HR, it improves confidence, supports professional development and ultimately impacts business results.
We will focus on practical ways to build your network and provide helpful tools that you can use right away, so it becomes a more natural and ongoing activity.
Participants will come away with (1) an understanding of what may be holding them back from networking, (2) effective ways to develop a purposeful network with intention and (3) an increased comfort level when establishing professional connections both in-person and via social media.
A “no show/late cancellation” fee will be charged if cancellation is not provided to chaptercancellations@hrpa.ca at least 3 business days in advance.
Registrations will NOT be accepted at the door.
Registration Difficulties or Questions: Please reach out to our Chapter Experience Coordinator Tracey Gallacher at tgallacher@hrpa.ca
