Quinte & District Chapter in association with the Centre for Workforce Development: April 14, 2021 Performance Management  and Working Remotely – Post Covid 19

In this session, participants explore the linkage between effective performance management processes and the establishment of remote working arrangements. It is predicted that in the post COVID workplace, employers will wrestle with an increased demand from employees to complete their work remotely. Ideally, this could work well but only if the organization has an effective performance management process already in place. Up until now many organizations have regarded performance management as a waste of time. Some managers "go through the motions" and complete performance reviews to appease their Human Resources Department but they see little-to-no-value in the process. In this session learn the ingredients of effective performance management which proactively support successful remote work arrangements.

Learning Objectives:

• Review the essential ingredients of effective Performance Management programs
• Identify key elements of remote work policies
• Discuss the barriers to successful remote work arrangements
• Learn 5-tips to help link performance management to effective remote work arrangements to strengthen the organization's bottom-line performance.
