Maintaining a strong talent pipeline, a powerful recruitment process and new hire excitement are key challenges facing HR professionals in this environment.  This session will provide participants the opportunity to review ideas and best practices related to recruitment and talent pipelining.  It will also include research that demonstrates the importance of effectively on-boarding new talent as well as key components to building a successful onboarding program.

Learning objectives include:

 •Identifying strategies to leverage the current climate to build relationships with potential candidates proactively.

 •Discussing ideas for creating a strong TA strategy that will support organizations for the future. 

 •Reviewing the key components to building a successful onboarding program.

Speaker bio(s)
Joanna Kelly

Joanna brings 30 years of leadership and customer focused experience to the Talent Company. With over 15 years in the Recruitment space she has worked with a variety of industries from Corporate Services to Manufacturing. Having a diversity of experience allows Joanna to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to many industries. Joanna has led the Search Team at The Talent Company for the last 2 years. She takes a consultative approach to client and candidate relationships, understanding the needs and motivations of both sides in order to ensure a successful outcome for all. With the creation and implementation of proactive and comprehensive processes, Joanna ensures both her team and her clients are able to hire successfully. Her experience also allows her to identify gaps in an organization's Recruitment Strategy, share suggestions on how to eliminate them and create efficiency in their process.


Liane Taylor, Senior Consultant

Liane Taylor is the Practice Leader for Leadership, Coaching and Career Engagement at The Talent Company, working with clients at all levels including Leaders and Emerging Leaders. In her role, she has developed, executed and project managed consulting, leadership and coaching engagements for organizations and individuals at all levels in the areas of onboarding, leadership, career management; change management; assessment; coaching; and career transition. Liane has also been a key contributor in development and management for the Leadership practice at The Talent Company. She has a Masters Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Adler University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation
