Dispute Resolution Skills for Human Resource Professionals

Conflict is inevitable. It will arise from time to time. Unresolved conflict is a time waster and very ineffective for all parties involved. Mediation skills are vital more than ever, especially for anyone who is in a role where other people look to them to help resolve problems. These skills are so crucial for anyone who is facilitating conversations with people in conflict to resolve issues.

In many contexts for human resource professionals, conflict will arise, this interactive training session will provide a road map of practical techniques, tips, and tools to build a foundation for your conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation skills. You will learn how to incorporate these skills into your professional environments as they involve interactions with individuals.

Change presents itself consistently and with that conflict arises in the different environments. Change is the one constant that proves to show up consistently. This interactive session will reveal how to cultivate an attitude of how to identify and capture the changes that are happening quickly, to recalibrate and stay focused on conflict resolution and solution-focused goals to keep moving towards the success desired in your role.

Learning objectives:

Strategies that maximize your courage and confidence to serve as the foundation to building dispute resolution and negotiation skills as individuals look to you in your human resources function.

Master a 5-step process to move from conflict to collaboration when working with others to ensure that you are exemplifying leadership in your role as a human resources professional.

Identify and mitigate intense situations with de-escalation techniques to enhance your current professional ability as a human resource practitioner and strategic business partner.

Setting the table for success by identifying priorities before entering a dispute resolution discussion for all parties to be supported in the conversation as it relates to your current role as a human resource practitioner.
