Halton: 04.28.21 VIRTUAL Practice Alternative Strategies to Conflict Resolution Interactive and Embodied Workshop with Image Theatre

This interactive and participatory workshop is designed to empower HR professionals to become better communicators in challenging situations with multi-dimensional sensitivities. Such challenges call for a unique approach that enables them to reflect on their conflict resolution skills, to identify their role in it, and allows them to practice effective communication strategies.  Image Theatre, the transformative methodology used in the workshop empowers individuals for change. It helps raise awareness of the unconscious biases, challenge those biases and previous assumptions, and highlights best possible practices. Image theatre also develops active listening skills, engages emotional intelligence, and accommodates varied learning styles. In the safety of simulated situations in the workshop, participants will be able to role-play a variety of challenging scenarios from their workplace. However, they will transform the scenarios in collaboration with others into opportunities for growth by learning how to steer it to better outcomes. Participants will actively rehearse the implementation of best practices for positive conflict resolution.
