Speaker bio(s)
Megan Hall, Head of People & Culture

I've been a people-first leader in KW tech for over 20 years, making my start in HR before heading back to school for my MBA & moving into Operations Leadership. Megan Hall is a big believer in kindness, gratitude and appreciation, so joining Dan Silivestru & PJ Lowe as a Late Founder at Chocolate Soup was a natural fit. The business is focused on employee recognition, where Megan gets to design and source unique gifts to show employees just how much their leaders appreciate them. Spending her days gift shopping and designing custom Lego kits is a pretty fabulous work life! Chocolate Soup creates gift boxes for employee appreciation and recognition. Taking the care of the gifting, you sit back and watch your company culture grow by recognizing employee's personal and professional milestones. Megan is also a Leadership Coach, Mom, yoga lover and gardener - you'll find her outside in nature as much as possible!

Justin Krulicki, Talent Acquisition Partner

Justin Krulikci is currently a Recruitment Manager at MasterClass, an e-learning tech company based out of California but with an office in Waterloo. Justin fell in love with all things recruitment about 7 years ago and he has experience recruiting for all types of roles and levels. From Truck Drivers to VP of Marketing, Software Developers to Head of Sales, Justin has been lucky to work at amazing companies, implement best in class recruitment strategies and hire incredible people. He tries to take a unique approach to recruitment and be different. Justin is obsessed with candidate experience and focused on finding hidden gems to take a company to new heights.

Joanna Woo, CHRP, CHRL, Head of People

Joanna Woo is the Head of People at CruxOCM, a VC-backed Canadian tech startup with a fully remote workforce and is a board member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. Being in an HR team of one and responsible for both talent acquisition and retention, Joanna enjoys designing recruitment processes with the entire employee journey in mind. Joanna has a passion for DEI&B and works closely with underrepresented groups to bring a fresh perspective to recruitment best practices and to overcome systemic and unconscious biases. Joanna loves adventure from sea to summit so you’ll often find her looking at the world from a very different angle. 🙃
