Event Sponsor

As an HR professional, you are asked to attend many events and business functions. These occasions can be awkward and cause a lot of stress if you don't know how to network. Even seasoned networkers may be missing opportunities to meet new contacts and deepen existing relationships.

Knowing how to network in-person is becoming increasing important. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential in carrying out your HR duties. Leaders make networking look easy, even when it's not -- and you can learn too.

In this session, you will gain hands-on, practical networking tips you can put to use immediately. You will get a chance to actually practice what you learn and put your new skills to work immediately in a safe and supportive environment. At the many events and meetings you attend, it can be difficult knowing who to speak to, how to approach them, break the ice, and gracefully end a conversation. This session helps you do all that and more.

Marion Grobb Finkelstein, workplace communication consultant, shares easy-to-use secrets to glide through networking functions with ease.

In this session, you will learn how to:

1. Gracefully initiate and end conversations with ease
2. Identify and leverage your unique communication skills to make and deepen connections
3. Increase your confidence and network at your next event

You will leverage the opportunities networking events provide and learn in a fun and interactive session. As an Human Resources professional, the relationships you build help you to multiply the impact you have on getting projects started, approved, and implemented. Networking is a fundamental communication skill you will use at your meetings, conferences, and work events.

You'll get hands-on techniques so you’ll feel more comfortable and be better equipped to get the most out of every networking event. Those connections you make at networking events are the relationships that help you do your job, build your career, and maximize your potential.
