What in the World is Going On in Canadian Corporate Immigration?
This webinar is created in partnership with:

Employers often require foreign talent—whether from international affiliates or external sources—and navigating Canada’s immigration system is essential to meeting that need. The system is complex, evolving, and includes specialized programs that HR professionals must understand, particularly in sectors like tech.
This seminar offers practical guidance on bringing or transferring foreign workers to Canada, while also addressing critical compliance requirements. Topics include Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs) and exemptions, international agreements (e.g., CUSMA, CETA, CPTPP), Intra-Company Transfers, Reciprocal Benefits, and Tech Talent strategies such as the Global Talent Stream.
Attendees will gain both a high-level understanding of the immigration process and insights into specific challenges that can impact an application—plus strategies for overcoming them. This program is ideal for HR professionals at all levels who need practical tools to support their organization’s ongoing immigration needs.

By the end of this session, participants will:
- Gain a foundational understanding of the Canadian immigration system, including how its components interconnect, with a focus on temporary work permits.
- Understand the role and requirements of Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs), including when they’re needed and key legal considerations.
