This presentation will review recent changes to provincial (and federal as applicable) employment legislation, including new Working for Workers Act legislative changes.  It will also consider current case law and trends surrounding common areas of legal issues in dispute (i.e. employment contract termination clauses).  From this, the presentation will suggest best practices for documentation and employment relations decisions.

Learning Objectives

This presentation will be designed to provide participants with updates to both legislation and prevailing court decisions on common Human Resources topics.    With this information, HR practitioners will be informed of common trends, risks, and pitfalls that will allow them to make strategic decisions in response to HR issues in their respective workplaces.
