Learn how to avoid miscommunication, stereotypes and generalizations in the workplace that can not only hamper team progress but create unnecessary conflict. Do you know how to adjust and comprehend your communication in a
multicultural environment? Learn, and grow during this workshop.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will gain an understanding of how to avoid miscommunication.
  • Participants will develop effective cross cultural communication skills and strategies.
  • Participants will learn how to foster an inclusive and multicultural workplace environment.

Speaker bio(s)
Ian Sharpe

Ian works in the social services sector and enjoys working with people and communities to create innovative and impactful change. He works at WoodGreen Community Services as the program coordinator for two newcomer programs (the Mentoring Pathways to Employment and Employer Engagement for Immigrant Integration programs) that work to support professional immigrants in securing meaningful employment in their fields. Ian has specialized in engagement with employers, working on providing trainings on best practices for attracting and retaining newcomer talent.
