West Toronto: 11.10.16 CultureWorks! Conference 2016
The CultureWorks! 2016 conference will bring West Toronto’s HR leaders, small business owners, and finance and operations leaders together with leading HR consultants and cultural transformation experts to enable participants to discuss methods to generate effective strategy, innovation, leadership, and HR solutions that can transform workplace culture to support more business growth and more networking in West Toronto. The keynote speakers were expressly chosen to provide the West Toronto HR community with stories, insight and practical suggestions for cultural change that can be acted upon.
About the speakers:
Peter Primdahl has had extensive experience in the commercial insurance industry holding positions in Loss Control, Underwriting and Management. He has been with Sovereign General for over 5 years and operated in senior leadership roles in regional and specialty operations.
As a member of the Sovereign Executive team Peter’s focus is to support the organization in developing strategies and solutions that enable the organization to succeed in a rapidly advancing knowledge based economy. Peter’s holds an Honours BA in Economics from York University and is a Chartered Insurance Professional.
Jo-Anne Yanuziello has enjoyed working in the field of Human Resources for over 25 years. Her background includes senior management HR roles both in Canada and the US. In addition to working in the sales and service field, Jo-Anne has had experience in the life insurance, reinsurance and most recently the commercial insurance industry.
As a member of the Sovereign Executive team, Jo-Anne’s focus is engaging all stakeholders to help create a great work environment where people thrive.
Jo-Anne holds a BA from the University of Toronto and CHRP and CHRE designations with HRPA. Jo-Anne also has completed the Certificate in Professional Coaching through Adler International Learning in Toronto.
Dr. David S. Weiss, ICD.D, CHRE is President and CEO of Weiss International Ltd., a firm specializing in innovation, leadership, and HR consulting and he also is guest faculty at executive development programs at Rotman, Schulich, and DeGroote. Previously, David was an Affiliate Professor at Rotman School of Management and Chief Innovation Officer in a multinational consulting firm. David’s doctorate is from the University of Toronto and he has three Masters degrees in psychology, education and philosophy. He has been honoured by many organizations globally including by the Asia-Pacific HR Congress with the “HR Leadership Award,” by HR Israel with the “HR Distinction Award,” by the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario with the “Distinguished Lecturer” certificate, by CSTD as the first lifetime honourary “Fellow” in Canada, and by HRPA with the lifetime honourary designation of “Fellow CHRP.” David has delivered over 200 conference presentations and he has written over 50 journal and trade articles. He is the author or co-author of six business books: Leadership-Driven HR (Jossey-Bass, 2013), Innovative Intelligence (Wiley, 2011, also available in Chinese), Leadership Solutions (Jossey-Bass, 2007), The Leadership Gap (Wiley, 2005, also available in Korean), High Performance HR (Wiley, 1999), and Beyond the Walls of Conflict (McGraw Hill, 1996, also available in French). David recently conducted executive sessions in USA, Canada, China, Russia, Israel, Uganda, Malaysia, Chile, Hungary, Paris and England on his areas of expertise. Judy Croon is a comedian, motivational speaker, Second City stand-up coach, radio host and author.
Judy has been the opening act for many celebrities including; Joan Rivers, John Stewart, Lewis Black and Robert Klein. Her specials have appeared on NBC, CBS, CTV and The Comedy Network. Judy has co-hosted morning radio shows on Toronto’s Mix 99.9, LA’s KFRG and XM Radio with Mike Bullard.
On the stage, Judy draws from her performance experience, wit, and insight to entertain, inform and inspire in her dynamic keynotes and half day workshops. Judy’s keynote/workshops clients have included; Canadian Union of Public Employees, Ontario Ministry of Labour, Ceridian HR and Payroll Partner, Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, Certified Management Accountants of Ontario and Ontario Workplace Safety and Prevention Services.
