We are living in a very new world, from Artificial intelligence, to the move to remote work through COVID. All aspects of business have changed from hiring to termination. This presentation will include the “How to” for posting jobs, interviewing and selecting candidates, first day orientation basics, retention of staff, conducting reviews and corrective actions where required. Everything you need to know to ensure that you are consistent with your Vision, Mission and Values and to ensure that you are a company of choice. We are now living in a global economy and how we treat our staff from the moment they start to the moment they leave is more important than ever. Being an employer of choice allows you to hire and retain the best talent.

Learning Objectives:

Our world has changed, not only in the last 2 years but we have had drastic changes for many years. The one part that does stay the same is we need people to run the business. In this presentation we focus on the "Human" side of Human Resources. We often get so caught up in the day to day that we forget that there are people behind each of the processes we are creating. The Presentation moves from recruitment, where it's important to be clear on who you are as a company to select the best fit not only in job skills but also values and other expectations, through to Termination. We review how to use our emotional intelligence through each step in performance management (performance reviews, discipline and dismissal) to ensure positive relationships. We also discuss the importance of being aware of our management style and triggers to ensure fair and consistent treatment of staff.
