Speaker bio(s)
Everton Wilmot, President & CEO

Everton Wilmot came to Canada when he was four from Jamica on a cold winter’s day in January 1974. Since that time, he has been a proud resident of Kitchener-Waterloo, where he attended public, middle and high school. He pursued his computer career at Sheridan College in Brampton and after college in 1993 he and his then fiancé started their company. Their first client was the late and great facility SportsWorld, and they remained a client up until they closed their doors. Everton and his wife Michele have worked diligently building the company over the last 32 years. Starting in their basement with the two of them, they have grown to a team of 20, that have staff locally, in Pickering, Scarborough and Burlington. Michele and Everton are proud parents of three charming young men, who are now starting to make their footprints in our community. Everton is a strong believer in the development and advancement of the average user’s technology skills. Everton has provided leadership and mentoring to many businesses and community organizations through group and one on one training. His entrepreneurial drive has seen the successful development and growth of multiple start-up companies that have had an impact on the economic development of the Waterloo Region. Everton’s ongoing technology passion has allowed him to inspire his Wilmot Technologies team’s success with their affiliated companies. As the past President of the Kitchener Westmount Rotary Club, a director on the Drayton Entertainment Board, the board president of Unwrap Theatre and a director on the Greater KW Chamber board, Everton is a true advocate of supporting his community that has supported him in his 32-year business history.
