Ottawa 02.17.21 VIRTUAL Recruiting & Onboarding in a Virtual Environment

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, business was changing rapidly, and the lessons learned in 2020 will drive us further down this new path. Mobile 5G technologies, distributed teams, collaboration spaces, life-work balance, artificial intelligence, lifelong learning, the gig economy and work from home are just some of the key influencing factors that will be needed for onboarding and workplace practices. Understanding what these mean, and how they will impact businesses and organizations of all sizes will be vital HR & business professionals as we emerge from our home offices into a changed world.

This session focuses on the workforce in the context of modern technologies and expectations. It will add vial and up-to-date strategic awareness to an HR professional’s knowledge base.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understanding the mindset and expectations of today’s working person in terms of onboarding and at-work community
  • Looking at technologies that will be profoundly influential in the short and medium term
  • How to turn a tanker on a dime: Discussing strategies for how companies that are somewhat set in their ways can address the new work environment in time.
