The workplace presents particular challenges for managing individual privacy for a number of reasons, including the proliferation of technological tools that collect and process information, privacy-related risks and a changing legal landscape.
In this presentation we will review new & emerging laws that affect privacy in the workplace, examine reasonable expectations of employment privacy, and explore privacy & cybersecurity risks.
Learning Objectives:
- This presentation will address three topics in employment privacy from a legal and practical perspective.
- The session will provide an understanding of the laws applicable to employee privacy and the emerging laws that may soon change the legal landscape.
- Participants will explore and develop an understanding of reasonable expectations of privacy and privacy practices in the workplace.
- Finally, participants will also learn about privacy & cybersecurity risks and best practices for mitigating those risks.
