Join us for Durham Chapter's Annual Business meeting where your Chapter Board will present on this year's Chapter activities, future activities, and will show recognition to volunteers and new designates.
Following the ABM, we will have two great speakers who will speak on topics related to recruitment in the region and beyond.
First up, we will have Sarah Hickman from Durham Region speaking on the importance of immigration, economically and socially, the employer's role in supporting newcomers in the workplace and in the community, and some local resources available.
Following Sarah will be our main speaker, Colette O'Neill.
Competing for talent has never been more challenging than it is today. With the continued shortage of talent in the market, compounded with the ‘Resignation Era’, companies are pulling out all stops to compete and retain the talent they need to achieve their business objectives.
Whether you are a large or small company, or you have a big or limited budget, you need to have an attractive employer brand to hire good talent. Colette's session will discuss the current talent landscape, what employers are doing to attract quality applicants and what you can do to better compete for talent.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the current recruiting landscape, trends, challenges and opportunities.
- Learn what tactics employers are using that’s winning them the best talent.
