This pay for performance presentation will focus on different approaches to pay for performance and the key considerations for HR Professionals to considering implementing or modifying pay for performance programs. A brief introduction of theory and including pay for performance in total rewards will be followed with mini-case studies highlighting key strategies considered, and pitfalls to avoid, in the development of better pay for performance programs.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- understand different methods of pay for performance (i.e. merit, annual incentives, longer term incentives and other trending types of performance pay)
- better approach pay for performance by aligning HR strategically with organizational objectives or competencies/behaviours
