'Fitting in Fitness’ provides employees with relevant information on the health risks of sedentary behaviours and the health benefits of regular physical activity. Employees are doing more with less and experiencing high-stress levels. This can lead to poor performance, increased health-related costs and LOA, lower leevls of engagement and high turnover. HR and Business leaders are now incorporating ways to help to help their employees thrive in today's remote/hybrid workplace, supporting their self-care, and ensuring their wellness leads to a productive individual and team environment. An HR professional equipped with these skills, resources, knoweldge etc will add to their HR toolkit and in advising on the importance of physical activity for an employee base.

During this webinar, a game of Myth or Reality and Q&A moments keep this presentation interactive and fun! Tips – tried and proven – for incorporating exercise into your workday are offered, with an emphasis on what is realistic for the average desk-bound employee.  Wear comfortable clothing – we get you moving, trying out the exercises and stretches together as a group!

Tina Lantorno

Tina Lantorno is a corporate wellness consultant who specializes in fitness for employee wellness programs. Her mission is to help busy professionals incorporate physical activity into their day, throughout their work day for reduced sedentary behaviours, increased fitness levels, and improved overall health and well-being. After all, healthy employees are productive employees! After graduating from Brock University with an honours degree in Business Administration, Tina spent over 17 years as a contractor and then employee in the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources field, helping various organizations devise and implement talent strategies and practices. When the stress from work reached its injury point, it was the beginning of a multifaceted treatment plan that led her to a new career direction. Tina shares her story and personal journey of recovery, one that often resonates with the desk-bound employee. She specifically designs fitness solutions that help reduce or avoid the most common aches, pains, and stress related injuries found in the workplace. And does so with a focus on what is realistic (effective and safe) for the typical office worker.
