In this session, attendees gain a clearer understanding of their own physiology in relation to stress and the fight-flight-or-freeze response and are provided a series of “Survival Guide” tools to enhance one’s health practices regarding stress management and wellbeing. Attendees are also provided with take-away activities to further their learning and to build self-awareness around their sources of stress, as well as effective coping techniques. This session would be applicable to anyone dealing with stress and resiliency challenges - so HR professionals would definitely fit in this category with everything they have to handle during these challenging times (and beyond COVID!)

Learning Objectives:

1. To understand how stress affects a person on a physiological basis (understanding the science of stress)
2. To enhance one's personal awareness of how stress affects them and their current coping mechanisms (and how effective or not they are!). This can also enhance one's emotional intelligence when dealing with others and their struggles
3. To learn techniques one can implement in their own life to help them cope with their sources of stress (as well as share with others to support people who are facing challenging and stressful situations in their own lives)
