The year 2023 is proving to be a fulcrum of sorts, with organizations now facing a decision as to where and how the hybrid workforce fits into their futures. Mass layoffs in the tech sector and pushback from management are seeking balance against the changing demands and expectations of current and future employees around work-life integration, working conditions, and their comfort with connected technologies.

This presentation looks at the current state of the hybrid work environment, its impact on attraction and retention of employees, case studies of successful and less-than successful hybrid arrangements, new and improved technologies for hybrid work, and the role of management in addressing the issue for the benefit of the organization, the employees, and consumers.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Gaining a perspective on what hybrid work means in 2023
  2. Developing planning skills specifically around staffing and productivity
  3. Advancing abilities in discussion of, and measuring the benefits and drawbacks of hybrid work
