In any given year, one in every five Canadians will experience a mental health issue. That represents a huge proportion of your employees – and you may not even know it.

The costs of workforce mental health issues, whether through absenteeism, presenteeism or increased benefit costs, can be significant if employers don't take measures to mitigate the issue.

This webinar will present strategies to help you better manage employees struggling with mental health issues at work and will equip  you with pro-active tools for your tool box that focus on complex communication & stay-at-work strategies avoiding a disability claim or recurring intermittent absences.

Learning objectives:

  • Review the prevalence and cost of mental health claims
  • Learn to recognize and manage mental health problems in the workplace
  • Learn key communication strategies or phrases to engage employees with mental health issues in a supportive discussion.
  • Understand how stay-at-work accommodations are a win-win for all involved

Who should attend?

Front-line managers and HR advisors faced with managing mental health in the workplace.
