Everyone
knows about the duty to accommodate; but did you know about the duty to
inquire? The duty to accommodate is not new to human rights legislation. Employers know that when an employee asks for an accommodation, the employer has to accommodate short of undue hardship. But does the employer have any responsibility before the duty to accommodate? Yes. There is the duty to inquire. This program will discuss how the two go hand-in-hand and how an employer can make meaningful inquiries of an employee before they can accommodate.
