Investing in training and developing a new graduate with no previous work experience can seem daunting at times; employers want fresh talent and new ideas, but the price tag of starting from scratch with a new grad can give pause.

But it doesn't have to – by accessing funding and wage subsidy programs such as the Career Focus Green Jobs initiative, employers can hire the talent they need while alleviating some of the cost. Such programs can not only help employers cover the cost of hiring, but also – at the end of the placement – companies end up with a skilled candidate already oriented to their organization.

“Career Focus Green Jobs” wage subsidy is open to all industries and applies to employment opportunities that have a green mandate or any job with an employer that has an environmental focus.

Learn how wage subsidy programs, particularly those for companies with an environmental mandate, can help employers hire the talent they need and help recent graduates initiate a career.

Learning objectives:

  • Learn how to take advantage of wage subsidies
  • Learn how to determine whether your company is eligible
  • Learn about the employer application process

Who should attend?

HR professionals and employers in a position to recruit and hire employees. This presentation will be beneficial for companies with an environmental focus, or companies in any industry that have employment opportunities with a green mandate.
