Overview of practice and legal developments in workplace harassment and violence, and investigations, in remote and hybrid workspaces. A particular focus will be procedural fairness in any medium of investigation, ensuring reliability of process and outcomes. The final work product of an investigation is the workplace investigation report. We will review the necessary substance of workplace investigation reports, and effective formats for reporting our findings.
Learning Objectives
- Defining Procedural Fairness in workplace investigations;
- Applying the principle of Procedural Fairness to unique complaints and investigation processes;
- Understanding the components and necessary information to include in final investigation reports.
