Big Data has arrived, and with it the ability to make better HR decisions. This workshop explores both the theory and practical skills HR professionals need to use HR Metrics effectively: the definitions, components, and usages of various types of HR metrics, as well as data mining, spreadsheet math, and data visualization to calculate, report and use the metrics to make better decisions.

Learning objectives:

<  Theories and usage of various HR metrics categories

<  Hands-on Excel training to analyze and mine HR data, calculate metrics, create data visualizations, and interpret results for decision makers

<  How to read and analyze a number of different case studies, written and designed to learn and use HR metrics

Who should attend:

HR professionals looking to develop their own HR metrics skill sets to use or pass on to team members.

Important Information!!!

Introduction to HR Metrics is a hands-on program utilizing a portable computer with Microsoft Excel 2007 or higher installed.
A basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required and participants are advised to bring a mouse and power cord.

Technical Requirements

• Portable Computer

• Microsoft Excel (2007 or higher)

• Windows version of Excel preferred

• Please ensure that the computer security settings allow for files to be downloaded from a USB key or a cloud

You have provided feedback that you would prefer to receive soft copies of presentations instead of printed materials, in order to be mindful of the environment and to reduce our carbon footprint.  Therefore, in 2019, HRPA Professional Development will, whenever possible, provide a soft copy of the participant course material.  We will not produce printed materials unless there is reason to do so (e.g. program format).

If you absolutely need a hard copy, we request that you print and bring it with you.  Hard copies will not be available on site.
